Blogging.

Does anyone read or write blogs anymore? I'm kind of more into Facebook. It seems like a lot of people aren't actively reading blogs and most of the blogs I used to read are updated so sporadically I've just stopped reading them. I have pretty much done the same thing as well (sporadic updates), except that I don't have a huge following, so no one really cares. I probably have about 20 posts in the queue, but they're mainly just links pasted into a new post, so I have to go back and remember why I thought they were noteworthy and then write something about it and possibly find art to go with them. That's a lot of work, and my job has ratcheted up the workload like 19 notches, so I don't have the free time I once did.

I guess I'll keep doing this, but I've just noticed a pretty big decline in the blogosphere.

I still read your blog.

I'd blog, but I ran out of time.

Word. I still check blogs, but now I just think it's easier to see what everyone's doing on Facebook.

I haven't had a lot of time since they are micro-managing our internet usage at work. I still read blogs when I get home, but haven't had a lot of time to write anything between work, school and wedding planning.

I hate this, but I think all of this Facebook / Twitter usage is shortening our attention spans. Who is going to want to read anything more than 200 characters long in 5 years?

That is a great point. As if Reality TV hasn't done enough damage, Facebook and Twitter are going to finish us off.
